MANUFACTURING WARRANTY
All Castleberry Instruments & Avionics (herein called CIA) equipment is warranted for 12 months from date of shipment by CIA. This covers any malfunction of the instrument due to any defects in materials and workmanship while under normal use. No claim for breach of warranty will be allowed unless CIA is notified thereof in writing within thirty (30) days after the material or workmanship defect is found.
The obligation of CIA shall be limited to replacing or repairing at it’s factory, the equipment found defecting under the terms of this warranty; provided that such equipment is returned in an approved shipping container, transportation charges prepaid, to:

or such other location as CIA may authorize. CIA reserves the right to have necessary repairs performed by an authorized agency.
This warranty shall not apply to any unit or part thereof which has not been installed or maintained in accordance with CIA instructions, or has been repaired or altered in any way so as to adversely affect its performance or reliability, or which has been subjected to misuse, negligence, or accident.
This warranty is exclusive and is accepted by buyer in lieu of all other guaranties or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Buyer agrees that in no event will CIA liability for all losses from any cause, whether based upon contract, negligence, strict liability, other tort or otherwise, exceed buyer’s net purchase price, nor will CIA be liable for any special, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages.

Your instrument will last longer if you use it often. When gyro instruments are inactive, lubrication in the bearings tends to seep out and cause sticking. Frequent use increases the life of the instrument and we recommend you power up your instruments at least once a month.
SERVICE WARRANTY
Castleberry Instruments & Avionics warrants all service work as follows:
- Functional Test/Bench Test: NO warranty.
- Repair: 6 month warranty.
- Overhaul: 12 month warranty.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING
Ship items in original containers if possible. Include at least 2 inches of packing on all sides. Do not cage attitude indicators and cap all air vents on vacuum instruments. In order to provide the best possible service, please include a copy of this form with your shipment.
